Principal's message

I am proud to lead Mount Ousley Public School, a school where every child is known, their voices are heard, and teachers embrace new learning alongside the students. The skills of critical thinking, problem solving and challenge are embraced through the teaching and learning in every classroom.

Our students thrive in a happy and flexible learning environment that is designed to meet their needs. Our academic results consistently show strong growth and exceed state and statistically similar schools. Similarly, students are afforded the opportunity to shine in their creative, leadership and sporting pursuits.

The spacious playground provides a wide range of opportunities for sport, play and exploration. Our students enjoy a variety of unique play spaces including a trampoline, fixed play equipment, boats and a large sandpit, creating an engaging and enjoyable environment for every child.

I take great pride in the culture of trust and strong sense of community that we have built together. The positive relationships between our students, staff and families are ones that nurture and support each other. We embrace and celebrate the rich diversity of our school community, recognising and valuing the backgrounds, strengths and stories that everyone brings.

Our school is big enough to matter, and small enough to care.

Emily Jones, Principal of Mount Ousley Public School
